Q - How much does it cost to use your services?

A - Since our wedding packages are unique, your own customization will determine how much you spend. Many options are available to meet your needs.


Q - What happens if it rains?

A - If you choose an outdoor or beach ceremony site, you'll need a backup plan for inclement weather. A covered pavilion, courtyard, tent rental, or hotel may be a good choice based on availability. Additional fees will apply. Your ceremony will not be canceled due to rain.


Q - What happens if there is a hurricane?

A - We will postpone your ceremony only if there is a mandatory evacuation. In the case of a voluntary evacuation, your ceremony goes on as planned.


Q - What sets you apart from other wedding planners?

A - We represent you and our mission is to help you have the wedding of you dreams. Being from St. Simons Island, I am familiar with the area and will offer recommendations based on your vision and budget.


Q - Why are you less expensive?

A - "St. Simons Elopements" is a home-based business and thus do not have the overhead of a location or venue. We do all of our basic services (coordinating, setups, cleanups, delivery, etc.). We live on St. Simons Island and are within minutes to your ceremony site, no matter where it is on the island. We bring our vendors a lot of business and they pass their gratitude on to us enabling us to pass it on to you.


Q - When do I pay you?

A - We require 50% deposit upon booking, in order to hold your wedding date and our services. The remaining outstanding balance is due in full 1 week before your wedding date. If there is a substantial deposit due from a venue site or vendor, we will notify you before committing to this vendor, and you will be required to pay the deposit. Payment may be made through our Paypal online services which accepts credit and debit cards, along with e-check for your convenience. I will invoice you for your payments. Your wedding must be paid in full before your ceremony will proceed.

Q - What are the marriage license requirements for Georgia?

A - Georgia residents may purchase their marriage license at the Probate Court in any Georgia county. Out-of-state residents must purchase their license in the county where they will be married (Glynn County). There is no waiting period and your license does not expire. The cost is $62.


Q - Can you get our marriage license for us?

A - Unfortunately, no. Your marriage license is a legal document for which the bride and groom will have to go together to a probate court to get.
